With its eventful AC200 Max power station, Bluetti has unveiled an extra battery module. Called B230, this is a compact and highly portable battery pack that you can attach to AC200 Max for additional storage.

Bluetti is also to launch a more powerful B300 extra battery with its upcoming model, AC300 in Sep. 2021. Here is our detailed take on Bluetti B230 Vs B300 battery modules.

The additional battery modules are indeed the “industry-first” modular products, as Bluetti said in its press note.

Well, both the machines turn up with a number of charging outlets, including 500W of AC power. And B300 has even got an inbuilt MPPT 200W solar charging option for charging in an emergency.

Moreover, with a convertible cable and a DC Enhancer D050S, the battery modules are also compatible with the brand’s earlier power stations, including EP500, AC200, AC200P, EB150, and EB240.

With the DC Enhancer, you can charge both the battery packs directly from a 500W solar source via its AC input. That is, you can attach B300 with a solar output of up to 700 watts altogether.

Bluetti B230 Battery Pack


As said above, Bluetti B230 hit the stores along with the brand’s AC200 Max. At the debut, it was only available in bundles with the modular power station. But from Sep. 2021, it will be available individually and so users of the AC200 and AC200P can also grab it for adding up power to their devices.

As you see, it is a highly compact and ultra-portable battery. You can easily take it on its built-in carry handles and enjoy access to unlimited portable power. It has a size of 16.5 x 8.9 x 11 in and a weight of 48 lbs.

Its retail price is $1699 and you will get it at $1199 at debut.

Bluetti B300 Expansion Battery Module

It is a bigger capacity extra battery module from Bluetti.

B300 equips a 3072Wh LifePO4 battery pack and it will be launched with the brand’s AC300 in September 2021. It is also compatible with most of the brand’s other power stations, including AC200 Max.

With an extra storage capacity, it is indeed a more reliable way for off-grid users and emergency preppers. Other than the 500W AC input, it has also got a solar input, as stated above.

Bluetti B300 Extra Battery Module


That is a 200W individual solar inlet with an MPPT controller. So, you can have a total input power of 700 watts along with the AC input. When it comes to charging ports, it has the same units as its younger variant, B230.

Bluetti B300 has a size of 20.5 x 10.4 x 12.6 in and it weighs 74 lbs. It is also compatible with the company’s special DC Enhancer, and so users of old-gen Bluetti power stations will be lucky to get a more powerful extra battery with individual solar and AC charging options.

It has a retail price of $2099 and will be available to you at a debut price of $1599.

Bluetti B230 Vs B300 – What to Buy?

It is all about the battery capacities of the two Bluetti extra battery modules. You have two battery modules with the same compatibility features. Using the brand’s convertible cable, you can connect single pieces of both the batteries to AC200 and AC200P through their solar input ports.  The cable is free for Bluetti customers!!!.

If you want to connect more than one unit or to use them with the old-gen Bluetties, you can get the special DC Enhancer. That said, other than the battery capacities and B300’s solar charging option, we have two exactly similar extra battery modules from Bluetti.

Coming to the availability, both the models are currently not on sale. B230 was available with the AC200 Max bundles on its release date on August 20, 2021. The brand promises to put it on sale for individual buying in September 2021. We are not sure about B300’s release, as of now.

Of course, AC230 is the right option if you go by price. It is $400 cheaper than its elder sibling.
