Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium

Goal Zero has finally surfaced its high-capacity Yeti variant, Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium. Since its display at CES 2017, portable power fans have been keenly waiting for this gigantic generator. Absolutely, Yeti 3000 Lithium explores a new level of power. So far, we haven’t seen such powerful solar generator on the market. We think you are excited to know more details about this massive portable solar generator from Goal Zero.

Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium Overview

Hope you remember our mention of Goal Zero Yeti 3000 in an article early this year. As expected, Goal Zero has added the huge powerhouse to its line of fast-selling Yeti 400 Lithium, Yeti 1000, and Yeti 1400. As you see in the pic, Yeti 3000 just imitates the design cues of its younger siblings.

Well, the only difference its makes in look is its huge size. And, of course, when it comes to the innards, it is ultimately a different machine. Anyway, we would like to cover the new Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium in detail below. Stay tuned us.

The new Yeti 3000 is hopefully a good solution for a wide range of applications. Apart from camping, caravan, emergency, or other regular uses, it looks fine for some industrial applications as well. With its high-capacity build, you could use it to run power tools in work sites, cameras during outdoor shooting, emergency medical equipment, and other high power appliances. Wherever there is sun, it is a wonderful solar power solution.

Tech Specs and Features

What makes Yeti 3000 such a powerful machine? First, it is the top-end choice in the new line-up of lithium Yeti solar generators, better say power stations. As you know, all Yeti models including 3000, become actual solar generators only when you use them with solar panels.

Whatever it is, the new Yeti 3000, as its title suggests, is a 3075Wh machine. And it could offer 280.8Ah battery capacity at 10.95V. Well, with that power, you could run variety of devices via its built-in ports like USBs, AC sockets, and 12V DC ports.

Another stunning thing is Yeti 3000 doesn’t weigh huge even if it is a massive machine. Clearly, it weighs 68 lbs, which is just around 20 lbs more than Yeti 1400. Moreover, to add to its portability factor, you get a mobility kit pre-installed with the powerhouse.

The kit includes rugged wheels and telescopic handle that you could detach if needed. Simply, you could move the gigantic powerhouse quite hassle-free anywhere you go. Absolutely, it is an alluring thing for customers like campers, tailgaters, and survival kit preppers.

Compatible Solar Charger

Like the entire Yeti Lithium series, Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium comes with two-way charging options; the sun and wall. Yes, you couldn’t charge it from a 12V source. Once you connect with a wall socket, as per Goal Zero, it would take around 25 hours through its two wall chargers. Another option is solar, the green way that we would like to promote in this blog. In fact, you could use any solar panels that don’t exceed voltage over 22V.

What Goal Zero recommends is its Boulder 200 Briefcase, which would also take pretty long to charge from sun, however. Of course, you could chain more panels for quick charging, but make sure total voltage doesn’t exceed 22V.

By the way, you could use both options – wall and sun – at the same time to charge the new Yeti 3000 faster. However, for outdoor use, the only way you could rely on is solar charging.

What Customers Think

It is, in fact, too early to see how customers respond to Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium. It has just been out as of now. However, getting through Goal Zero’s Facebook page, we came to see that customers have expressed happiness about the product. It is a fact that portable solar power fans are excited to try out the new level of power with Yeti 3000. However, some people are disappointed with its price, which comes around $3000 without soar panel on Goal Zero’s website. We wait to update its Amazon price here when it is on stock.

Final Thoughts

Hopefully, you would love this ‘big brother’ in Goal Zero’s new Yeti series. The most attractive thing we feel of Goal Zero Yeti 3000 Lithium is obviously its lithium battery. That makes it highly portable and lightweight in spite of its huge capacity. Mostly, customers would love to use this gigantic machine in camp tents, outdoor parties, work sites, caravans, and emergency situations. Thus, it comes to be an ideal solution for all those typical applications we have been recommending a portable power system for.
