Jackery’s new solar generator for 2022 is unveiled. Branded as Jackery Solar Generator 2000 Pro, the brand launched the product at the Jackery 2022 Day event on Mar 12, 2022. It is actually a 2160Wh power station with a 2200W inverter and possibly a surge power of 4400 watts.
Against the expectations, Jackery doesn’t have a LifePO4 battery pack inside the new device. Instead, the brand looks to have designed a rather refined lithium battery house for it with an upgraded BMS that features dual monitoring chips for better safety and reliability.
The powerful inverter makes it run most of your basic AC appliances like electric stoves, pressure cookers, coolers, fridges, and mini projectors. When it comes to solar charging, there is some good news for the Jackery fans. It can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 2.5 hours with a faster MPPT controller under the hood. It has a 1200W solar charging input.

The device also highlights an upgraded longer carrying handle for easier transportation. Its 43-lbs weight can be a great advantage for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts, but you still have a device with the features of one or three years back compared to some of its competitors.

Jackery 2000 Pro Solar Generator Review
For someone, who has been looking for some surprise from Jackery in 2022, it is an utter disappointment. The brand has just upgraded its Explorer series with the same lithium battery pack.
Of course, the lithium gives the Jackery a lightweight profile, which has certainly been one of the key traits of the brand’s products.
Exclusively made for the outdoors, the Jackery 2000 Pro is perfect with its size and weight. But the device misses out on the long-life cycles, ultra-safety, and several other much-excited features that its top rivaling brands like Bluetti and EcoFlow have been boasting of with their latest models for a while.
Apart from the battery, there is only a limited number of charging outlets with the new Jackery. You have only three AC sockets and a handful of USB 100W PD and regular ports. It doesn’t notably have wireless chargers, a dedicated RV plug, and more.
Moreover, the new Jackery is not expandable, as well. Maybe, campers and RVers won’t require that feature much as long as they are lucky to have decent solar charging speeds. But the competition is way ahead with a multitude of variants that also include a number of outstanding home backup systems.
We are not sure whether Jackery will ever have heavy-duty modular, and home backup power systems in its Explorer line-up.

They fail again to upgrade to LiFePo4 chemistry. Really stupid. I’ll pass.
